Each year, Highland students attend an overnight excursion to Camp Orkila for an environmental education program. This tradition creates memories that last a lifetime!

Highland has a stellar arts program, with drama, music, and more. Whether it is a performance of Frozen, a parade with the marching band, or a performance of the Mariachi band, the arts take center stage at Highland!

Raising four future citizens of the world has shown me just how powerful a rising tide can be. In BSD, that tide is the Bellevue Schools Foundation. My children have benefited, directly and indirectly, from preschool tuition support for families, mental health resources, and early computer science education that prepared them for the world they’re stepping into. When BSF lifts our district, every family rises with it, and every child gains the chance to thrive.

I love helping families in need, and building a relationship with them is crucial for me. When they reach out to me and I help them to meet their basic needs such as food, housing and medical care, parents experience less stress. This is good for our students to be successful at school.

Being a Graduation Succes Coach at Highland has brought many accomplishments to my professional and personal life. Every day I work with students on self-advocacy, communication skills, accountability and goal setting to prepare them for success in high school and beyond.
