Attendance Matters: Summer Tips to Be Ready for the First Day of School | News Details

6th Grade and New Family Information Session - 10:00am -11:00am |Eagle Café

Families of incoming 6th grade students and new Highland families are invited to join administrators in the Eagle Café for an information session from 10:00–11:00 am.

This session will help families prepare for the first day of school, learn more about Highland routines and expectations, and ask questions as we begin the new school year together.

Taking Care of Business Day - 9:00am - 12:00pm

Families are invited to stop by the main office to take care of important back-to-school logistics. During this time, families can complete required forms, confirm transportation details, sign up for school pictures, learn about PTA and volunteer opportunities, and more.

Our staff will be available to answer questions and help ensure students and families are ready for the first day of school. We will also host a community fair where families can learn about programs, resources, and opportunities available in our community.

Laptop Distribution

Student laptops will be distributed by grade level during the first week of school.

Sixth graders will receive their laptops on September 4, seventh graders on September 8, and eighth graders on September 9. Additional information about the distribution process will be shared with students at school.

Bell Schedule

See the Highland bell schedule here.

School Supplies

Students are not expected to purchase school supplies. Highland will provide any materials students need to be successful. Families who are able to purchase a few basic items may use our suggested school supply list, which helps our school budget go further throughout the year.

As part of our Be Ready learning on the first day of school, students will complete a binder check to make sure their binders, dividers, and supplies are organized. Students will be provided with any materials they need during this process.

Click here for the suggested school supply list.

Register for ParentVUE

ParentVUE is a centralized hub through the Synergy Educational Platform that Bellevue School District uses to share information with parents and guardians. Families must complete the Online Student Verification Process each year. Through this yearly verification, we ask that families to update their student’s health and emergency contact information and submit documents. Health information shared in ParentVUE is only viewable by staff who support student health services.

Final Forms – Required for Sports, Field Trips, and Activities

Bellevue School District uses Final Forms for middle and high school students participating in sports, field trips, and extracurricular activities. This online platform allows parents and guardians to provide consent for participation in activities and ensures that school nurses, staff and coaches supervising activities have access to student medical and emergency information.

Log in to Final Forms Here

New to Final Forms?

Each student must activate their account using an invitation sent to their BSD email. New students, including 6th grade students, will be able to enroll after receiving their school-issued laptop and gaining access to their BSD email account.
